I dont understand why people say it stunts your growth if it supposedly releases most gh of any exercises im 16 5 10 and 1/2 last year i was 5 7 and i grew this much eating lots of meat and hitting the gym hard body i have a 6 percent body fat and im jacked haha

grandparents are even shorter theyre like 5 2 and 5 3 haha

Well, being that you're only 16, you still have a lot of growing still to do. Although your father and mother are shorter in stature, how tall are your grandparents? Also, your generation has been exposed to a lot more growth hormones in foods than your parents (my) generation. They say no male under the age of 13 should lift weights because it may stunt growth. But your age is fine. Some of your growth could be attributed to lifting because muscle helps build bone density. Congrats on the progress with your lifting and your low body fat. Keep it up and continue your good health.

there is no data that supports statements that heavy resistance training in the young will stunt the growth of the human skeletal system

Keep doing what you're doing but running, skipping and jumping make your ligaments want to grow because they jam together.
