You probably won't burn a whole lot of calories, but you should always remember that ANY activity no matter how small amount is always beneficial to your health.
The calories you burn will depend on your weight, and the speed at which you are walking.
If you are trying to lose some fat, you probably want to set up a routine to walk daily. If you don't have a lot of time each day, try splitting it up.
You could walk fifteen or thirty minutes in the morning, and fifteen or thirty minutes in the afternoon.
You should also evaluate your diet to make sure you are eating enough fruits and vegetables, which are low in calories and help with weight loss.
You may need some kind of cardio exercise to help burn calories to cause a deficit for weight loss. Biking and running are good ideas, as well as doing an aerobics tape or taking a class.
Definitely remember to keep hydrated by drinking lots of water.
To find out about how much water to drink, take how many pounds you weigh and divide that by two. Then drink that many ounces in water.
If you were a 120lb person, you should be drinking at least 60 ounces of water.
I hope this helps :]

More than if you just sit on you tush for 20 minutes. If you get in the habit of walking more, it will definitely help you get in better shape.

Sure you would! And you would burn even more if you walked every day because muscle burns more calories than other forms of tissue.
