do i have to blanch the cut up, pieces before i freeze it? and how long should it be good for in the freezer? 3-6 months?

i really dont mind if they turn mushy, becuz i will mash them anyways, and alot of it i will mash for my baby to eat. but myself, i like to mash or whip them , so as long as it doesnt affect the taste i dont care about that.

We freeze turnips all the time. Cut them up in pieces (not too small) or if you have small ones leave them whole. Yes blanch them and cool, then freeze.

When you get them out cook but try not to stir too much because they do tend to mush if you cook them too much out of freezer.
