Our feelings lie to us. If we are feeling good then truth seems right in front of us. If we are feeling bad, we cannot find the truth. As a Christian I know truth can be found in the Bible even when I feel bad.

No we can not rely on our feelings, feelings do not safe us. Faith comes from hearing the message (reading the Word of God). True faith comes from knowing the truth and the truth sets you free. W/o understanding the truth then you can't have true faith.
I am non-denominational christian. I do not believe in adding to the bible man made creeds.

Many a pilot has been spared death when he chose to rely upon his instruments rather than his feelings. The Bible is like the Christian's instrument panel. Even Jesus Christ when contending with Satan did not rely upon Himself, but quoted the Scriptures, saying "it is written..." (see Matthew chapter 4). Indeed a close study of the New Testament will show Jesus' entire life was guided by His faith in the reliability of the Scriptures.
"He who trusts in his own heart is a fool,But he who walks wisely will be delivered."
Proverbs 28:26

I believe that Jesus Christ is the truth. So I always try to back everything up with the Bible. He is never changing God. So I want to inspect first what He is about, and what is His position on things that I believe. Feelings can lead us wrong. Faith is something that we need after the evidence ends. Faith is the trust that we have enough the evidence to trust what we believe in. Faith is the believe in something we hope for and we know in our heart that is right.

God speaks to us in a still, small voice. See 1 Kings 19:12. It is not usually a load voice, a screaming voice, or with much noise and fanfare. It is usually a still, quiet voice. Another name for it my indded be feelings, thoughts, impressions. But they will be POWERFUL thoughts, feelings impressions that leave no doubt that they are from God. Christ pormised us that he would send the Holy Ghost to comfort us when he ascended to heaven. See Acts 5:32, Acts 4:31, Acts 8:12-25.
The Holy Ghost can give us powerful impressions. That influence of the Holy Ghost can come us a strong feeling, a burning in your bossom (heart) if you will.
I know that this is so, as I have felt that burning feeling many times.

I think we shouldnt always rely with our feelings because many times our feelings arent correct, its difficult to say but we should try to use both our mind and feelings and in combination of the two we can make wiser decisions rather than relying solely on one.
Im christian, and faith comes after u see that God is working in your life and then you have faith in him, its something that comes from within.

Feelings have nothing to do with truth. Truth is. Period. Religion is more dreams and desires, myths conceived and perpetuated by those having no answers to unanswerable questions. Spirituality has an inner reality, but no provable cosmic truth. It may be an individual conscious choice. So in that way, is true. I am agnostic/raised Christian Methoist.

Faith is not based on feelings, it's based on what you know. John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Sometimes feelings do not line up with what we know. Then our reason has to take precedence, and we have to trust that what we have been taught is true and not how we are feeling at that moment.

I believe that without feelings, our faith can't be complete. The Holy Spirit testifies of truth, and if we aren't open to the feelings that He brings, then can we know? If you aren't willing to accept a feeling as one from the Holy Spirit, then what will whisper truth to your mind and heart?
Faith is all about feelings. If it wasn't, people wouldn't be so adamant about things. It would just be thoughts, and nothing to attach us to those thoughts.
You already know what religion I am.. *wink, wink*

To me, my feelings tend to be the method that the Holy Spirit communicates with me.
How else could the Holy Spirit have revealed (taught) Peter who and what Jesus Christ was?
My faith in God, Christ, the BIble, etc is a confidence in them, that I can rely on them. What is this confidence if not a feeling?
