i recently got oral sugery, and it's been almost 12 hours.
one side of my mouth is un-numbed.
but the right side isn't.
i also heard they had a harder time doing the right side of my mouth[i had impacted teeth]
will it go away durring the night?

its been almost 11 hours, not 12.
typo.
anyways, the left side used to be numb.
it went about away 4 hours ago.
but the right side still is.

oh and this has nothing to do with it,
but i thought it was kinda funny.
i'm 12, and the girl at the front desk told me not to drive today
cause she thought i was like 15 or something.
lmao.

The Oral Surgeon probably used a longer-acting Novocaine on the right side knowing he had a bit of work to do and sometimes that is a blessing for when it does wear off.
Stay on a soft diet, soup or something light and eat on the left side until the numbness dissipates. If the numbness does not wear off within 24 hours call your Oral Surgeon and let them know. In all likelihood it will, it just may take a little longer.
Best of luck and get some rest

Depends on what kind of local anaesthetic they used; some wear off in 2 hours, some can take 12-16. HOWEVER, impacted wisdom teeth can see the nerve (lingual nerve) damaged upon their removal. The numbness is usually temporary but can take days / weeks to come back to normal. Your dentist / oral surgeon will have explained this risk to you though...if you are 12 it is unlikely that you have had wisdom teet hout, probably just a long lasting anaesthetic...get used to drooling!

THIS SHOULD GO AWAY IN TIME. IF STILL NUMB TOMORROW, CALL THE DENTIST'S OFFICE AND TELL THEM THE SITUATION.
