Don't feel embarrassed, just say it! This is your health and well-being you're talking about! They are used to these situations, he/she will not judge you.

Don't wait! I took Prozac for 3 days and had really REALLY bad thoughts. I took Serzone a long time ago before it was taken off the market and had an out of body experience. I took Zoloft and had horrible nightmares. And I took DepoProvera for infertility and became suicidal. Some people have bad reactions to drugs. You need to immediately stop taking it AND tell a doctor or call a suicide hotline if your doctor is not available right now. The side effects of getting off the meds can be pretty bad for some people. Anxiety can be horrible but suicide is forever. And by the way I NEVER had any of the thoughts I had until I took the drugs.
When you are feeling up for it, check out the books by David Burns, M.D. He wrote The Feeling Good Book and I believe he's just completed one on anxiety.
Whatever you do, tell SOMEONE how you are feeling so they can help you and you may want to try other alternatives than another drug. Hope this helps.

Don't be embarrassed - it's the fault of the Paxil, not you!
This is a well-known side effect of Paxil that happens to some people. The docs know this. Check the link below from drugs.com.
So just call your doc, right away, and let him/her know you've had suicidal thoughts since starting the Paxil. And also, for your own well-being, keep in mind that this *is* the effect of the drug. (I.e., don't act on it! And don't let it get you seriously down.) If you can't reach your doc right away, call a mental health hotline or 911 and ask them what to do.

This sounds like an emergency. Just flat out tell your doctor that you are having suicidal thoughts. It might be due to the medication. Please don't act out on this, it is not worth it. I know it is hard right now and must seem almost impossible but you have to try to remember the good times and try to keep in mind that this will pass and things will eventually get better.

get off the computer & call now!
say paxil is not working for me, i feel extemely depressed, when before all i felt was anxious.
BTW how old are you? teenagers should not take ANY anti-depressants or anti-anxiety pills because it raises the suicide rate dramatically instead of helping it. try going on a jog, fresh air to your brain & exercise will help!
please seek help~ dont let time pass by, things will only get worse if you let them.

ive had the same experience. everyones body reacts differently to antidepressants. Paxil made me feel the same way. They say that you have to keep on taking it for it to work properly bullshit i knew in the fist day. Stop taking it make the appointment and try another one. keep trying until you find the right one dont let them tell you that you have to keep on taking it you know your body YOU KNOW WHEN ITS NOT RIGHT follow your gut.

If you want to live and you must or you wouldn't be here asking. Tell the doctor the way you feel. You have to be strong for no one can help you but your self. You cant allow yourself to be weak. Remember, death is permanent there's no do overs.

You have to remember it's the medicine, not you. Tell your doc you think your medicine is having some serious side affects and you would like to be on something else.

you shoud just tell him or her how your feeling if you cant tell your dr in person then you could always call and tell the drs nurse .
it clear that your meds are not working for you and it might be as simple as changeing it
but killing your self is never the answer
your family would miss you if you feell like your going to kill your self go to your local emergengy room and tell them how your feeling and they can help too
good luck my friend and god bless

Tell your doctor ASAP...
(how to tell... schedule an appointment, or call if you feel if it is that urgent)
as you may know anti-depressants can have this side effect, and another medication or other treatment may be more suited for you.
