Get the 40gb PS3 its worth its money! If your just a true gamer and don't care about much about media or photos etc... i really recommend 40gb!!! I mean who cares about ps1 and ps2 games. The only reason to buy a PS3 is to play PS3 games. Why in the hell would you want to play ps1 games and ps2 games you already played several times and plus the graphics suck!!

You can get the SATA laptop harddrive or you could get an external hard drive that will connect to the PS3 via USB. If you got the 60 GB one than you would get the memory card slots so you could use a 16 GB compact flash card, a 6 GB SD card and a 8 GB memory stick.

Yes. Just get a SATA laptop internal hard drive, or I think you can use an external hard drive.

SATA 5400RPM 2.5" 250GB drive will cost you around 170$.
