You know about 3 years ago my dad was moving to Alaska too and i had a choice if i wanted to stay or go.
I decided to stay with my mom and my brother on the other hand decided to go.
My brother moved back down because my dad couldn't afford keeping him up there, but when he tells me all the stories and adventuring he experienced i really regret not going too. It's really different... and depending on what you like to do that could be good or bad.
You should look up some things about Alaska first and see if you change your mind.

Like you said you do not have a choice so you will have to make the best of it. It could be fun! Lots of times we do not want to do something and find it that it was not so bad after we had to do it. Of course if you are going to get upset over it all then you will find out that no matter what you will not have fun, so the best thing you can do is have an open mind and try to enjoy it the best you can. The only other thing you could possibly do is stay with other family members or friends till your mom gets home.

that will be good. then you will learn how to spell it. sorry had to say that. alaska. you will enjoy...it... if you allow yourself... to see the sites... and sounds... and to learn new things. you will have a lot to tell mom when you get back. you and dad...are ok right?

if you are only afraid of losing your friends, you'd better go with your Dad. you will have a great deal of new friends in the new place.
