You would always have people still remain Christian even if totally and without a doubt proven false. Logics and Religion do not go together. All that would be done is you would end up with another religious museum doing a really poor job of explaining how dinosaurs fit into religion or some crap along those lines. It's the idea that whatever proves it wrong is merely put there to test faith. Excuses Excuses

I'm an atheist but I don't agree with this line of questioning as I think it is logically flawed, so I'm going to have a go at answering:
Scientifically proving that God doesn't exist would not mean that God does not exist, just that God doesn't exist according to science.
Just as it would be irrational for a Christian to renounce their faith on the basis that billions of people believe in polytheism, so it would be irrational for them to renounce their faith based on scientific evidence.

The existence of God is based on faith. We have no way to go back in time so God cannot be scientifically proven to be false.
We know historically, there was a man named Jesus who was called the Messiah. What you do with what you have found out and feel is up to you.

no, science has proven many things, however over the centuries, science has often dropped the ball so to speak and has had to change it's stand on many topics. My God has remained unchanged since the beginning. If God does exist and He created all we know and will know then wouldn't science end up actually proving His existance. My question to you, friend, is if science proved God exists would you remain a non-believer if in fact you are one?

I wish the atheist would just stop.
There is a "first cause", a "creator", a "god", or whatever the hell you want to call it.
It just isn't what you or anyone else imagines it is.
Forget about religious choice. Christian, Jew, Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, Agnostic, Gnostic, or what the heck ever.
There is a very big surprise waiting for all of us in the AL!!!!
War & Peace! Plus & Minus! Good & Bad! Right & Wrong!
Hot & Cold! Left & Right! You & Me!
Duality is what this Universe is all about and nothing more!
Oh, and just so you know, duality is divisive!!!

Impossible for the existence of God to be proved true or false scientifically... the main thing to remember is when we die we will all know if God does exist or not.. only them it will be to late to change our mind, so I will not change my mind about God and remain a Christian.
I would rather believe in God and die and find out he doesn't exist then to not believe in God and die to find out he does exist.
(Look at all the thumbs down in our answers, must have hit a sore spot and the ones who don't believe in God are admitting there is a God trying to say he does not exist)

Yes I would remain a Christian. Science has been proven wrong in the past. God has shown himself to me.

Yes. Belief in God is not just based on what you see or feel, it has a foundation of faith. And I don't think science could disprove my faith in God as that is an internal part of me. Besides, I would rather live as if there were a God and die to find out there isn't than live as if there weren't a God and die to find out there is.

It is impossible to prove the existance of God is false, but it is also scientifically impossible to prove he exists. I beleive the complexity of the universe and of even the building blocks of the universe "atoms" give evidence to his existence but it is not proof. Everything beleived by either side is based on faith. I would beleive in God no matter what any scientist would proclaim he had proof of though.
