No smashing. Screw into the cork and pull out with pliers. If not available, push cork down in bottle. Never leave the house wihout your wine opener.

Not easy. You run the risk of spilling it, getting broken glass in it, or cork bits. Pushing the cork down into it is the only other way, and if you get any bits in there, you should pour the wine through a coffee filter to keep them out.

I absolutely have had this challenge before, at different peoples homes, and the great element i have tried is to get a touch lengthy nail and hammer. Then hammer the nail into the cork, a somewhat good thoughts, then use the claw of the hammer to drag it out. no longer fairly yet works each and each and every time!

Like homie said, get a screw, screwdriver, and pliers. Drill the screw in, then pull it out with the pliers. Just make sure you get the screw in the center of the cork and screw it in about 2/3rds of the way. Pliers will pull that puppy right out, just do it slowly.

You walk next door and ask if you can use theirs! You cant gnaw the cork out of a wine bottle, and you cant push it in very well either!
