If so... WHY???

Absolutely. Freezone Scientologist.

That means I practice scientology but am not affiliated with the Church of Scientology. Left it in 1982 because the current management took it over and things were taking a major turn for the bad.

Mostly I'm here to provide a little bit of factual relief. Most of the crazy stuff you read on the web having to do with scientology is not actually relevant to the subject or practice of scientology itself. It is as a result of the mismanagement of the Church of Scientology by its unelected leadership.

Scientology itself is great stuff. Very useful. Much that was pioneered in scientology in the '50s has found its way into modern methods of personal counseling in the healthcare field.

A common place for freezone scientologists to hang out online is:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/FreezoneOrg

That is a yahoo group formed by practicing scientologists who have left the church of scientology over problems with the church management's direction of that organization. The scientologists there are knowledgeable of the subject & practice of scientology yet not involved with the operations of the cultlike church.

It is a site that welcomes all people whether scientologists or simply non-scientologists curious about the subject. Stop by for a chat.

Actually there are a number of them on here. I can name half a dozen. Not sure what the "why" thing is. Why be on here? I suppose like anyone else. To provide info so that all of the posts arent by people who never met one or visited a scientology center.

Im an ex-scientologist. Apparently something like 62% of the people try the first few cheaper courses then leave (according to anti sites). Thats me. I did the communications course, and the study course. The rest didnt much interest me. Good stuff though. I still use it all the time.

I saw a documentary (Panorama) on them. When the reporter entered the town where they seemed to have accumulated he was followed constantly. They had people waiting in the hotel lobby- where he was staying! He was also followed when he was driving. They denied it so one time he pulled into a road and guess what a sceintologist- the one that he had seen following him- also turned into the road Their so creepy!
