Make the difference for me is to be in some position that lets you do something to improve the world. So to me the simbolism first is a contrast within two contrary concepts like
- Poverty and richness
- Dirt and clean
- Old and young
- Evil and good

But you must paint something that represents the "making" I mean you could paint the difference but, how to paint the "making"?

I can imagine a bunch of people dressed in gray or black suits and a tal fine men walking in the opposite direction and dressed in casual bright clothes.

you could paint a young men sitted on a bench between an old woman and a little girl, taking their hands. So thats how I see the Make of the difference.

Making a difference is easy. Smiling to a person can make a difference already.

What difference would you like to make? Do you see yourself as president of the States? Paint that. An election poster perhaps.
