giovanna is an italian version of Jane. there is also english variation such as Jaina that might fit your taste. as for Nova, in hopi indian the name means "chasing a butterfly." an alteritive spelling is the Latin version Novia. there is the possibility of using the Giovanna a second short and sweet middle name with out an "A" and then adding Nova. by doing this it separates the the names with similar sounding endings. I would also play around with the names and how they flow with the last name, that can really change the way a name feels or sounds. also one more word of advice so many never consider, try the initials, sometimes the initials can turn out to be words that will haunt the child when they are older.
