The call history going away is common in many phones after you check it, regardless of if you clear it or not. also static can happen when the phone is held far away, so there really isn't anything supernatural about it necessarily. On a weird side-note, I'm pretty sure that superstitious people call 3am "the witching hour" and in a lot of folklore weird things are supposed to happen around that time. ;)
