Just for a typical I, A, 1., a. kind of outline. I was taught this a long time ago but I can't remember how to do it the right way. I know to go to Format --> Bullets and Numbering --> Outline Numbered but I don't know the right way of setting the margins after that. Any input at all would help. Thanks.

There is a Customize button there. There you can set up in inches/cm the magin/space
