My kitten is 8 weeks old and I got him a few days ago. I know that 12 weeks is the optimum age to get a kitten but the guy was gonna have the kittens put down if no-one showed an interest so don't bother flaming me about it ;P It's been a while since I've had a kitten and am a bit concerned cos his stomach's quite round and solid. I know this can also be a sign of worms so he'll be de-wormed but I just wanna know whether it's usual that a kitten has quite a big abdomen?

Most likely worms. Getting a vet check up soon will make sure and get the kitten off to a good start.

At 11 weeks she isn't sufficiently previous to be in warmth. How is her urge for foodstuff? How is her water ingesting? Is she pooping and peeing in any respect? Does she look to stress in any respect while she's pooping? How enormous is her poop? whether she's pooping-she may be subsidized up. Cats might nicely be badly constipated, yet able to bypass small quantities of shaped stool or have some liquid stool leak previous the blockage. She needs a vet right this moment. My first strategies could be if she is constipated vs having worms. 2d could be if she's had any trauma to her abdomen from being dealt with too tough, a fall, or gotten squashed by threat. an entire abdomen from foodstuff isn't demanding. demanding potential there's a situation. Take her to the vet right this moment. intense constipation can kill comparable as worms can kill. the two are rather ordinary to repair and the kitten will stay.
