Have you ever read the book called the "Secret" or any book for that matter, that deals with the law of attraction? If so, do you apply it your life? How so? Does it really work for you? Any other insights are welcome as well. Blessings to all.

Hahaha the Secret is so empty... a secularized version of what we already knew from the Bible: "What ye reap shall also ye sow". What's the big secret? About the only "secret" is ripping off the original ideas from the Bible, and every other major religion out there (karma/reap and sow/etc), secularizing it, and in the meantime, bastardizing God by taking Him out of the picture.

I have to laugh at people who read "the Secret", I laughed at my brother, and if you read it, the same would go for you.

:)

It is a different type of religion, equally as irrational and mind numbing; just a new age version of past myths wrapped in some deep mystery back story that is very very laughable.

It's common sense with a nonsensical explanation. Think positively, organize your thoughts (common sense) because of this ookey-jukey magic 'law' discovered by somebody's grandfather (nonsense).

Sort of like religion - Be good to each other (common sense) because Invisible Man will torture you eternally if you don't (nonsensical).

I wonder about the consequences the law of attraction would have on religion. If you simply think about what need to get it, where is God in that equation? Also, my wife is battling cancer. What did she do to attract it?

Yeah. I think it makes some good points. It's not a bad thing so read it, then take what you need and leave the rest.
