I have braces. My teeth aren't yellow, but they're not white. I want them to be whiter though.

Do you know any ways / products to get them whiter w/o harming my braces?

thanks.

I have braces myself. What I do is use a really good toothpaste with whitening or baking soda. Crest whitening toothpaste is one of my favorites.

I also keep a toothbrush with me at my workplace, and I brush my teeth right after lunch so that the food doesn't stain my teeth afterwards.

I also follow the ortho's advice and stay away from eating sticky foods and I stopped drinking carbonated drinks and teas. Stick with water ONLY. These seem to work and keep my teeth white. The last time I went to the ortho, they commented on how white my bands were, and they could tell that I keep really good care of my braces.

Just make sure that you brush your teeth and use mouth wash two times every day. There isn't really much you can do other than that. I did this when I had braces and after they came off, my teeth were as white as they were before.

If you use a whitening gel, the parts of the teeth that are underneath the braces won't change color. If you're getting your braces off soon, it might look a little funny, but otherwise, they have like whitening pens that might work.

I have braces too but to get them whiter without hurting is to us that tiny brush people use to clean babies bottles.

You can't do that. Once your brace's are off then do it. If you do it now once the dentist takes of your braces you'll have spots. So wait just a little bit longer.

Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen peroxide and are expensive and inconvenient. A cheap and natural tooth whitening home remedy uses few strawberries but certain precautions have to be taken. I found the information at http://www.aches.in/toothwhitening.html

I wouldint do it, your going to make your teeth white, but its going to show once you get your braces off. So keep up with brushing and flossing, Im sure you can get a good whitner after you get them off.

Do NOT use whitening strips if you have braces unless you want teeth with different colors when you get your braces off.

I'd suggest waiting until you get your braces off

BEFORE YOU CONSIDER WITENING, BE DONE WITH THE BRACES. HAVE EVERYTHING REMOVED, GET A PROFESSIONAL CLEANING, THEN IF YOU'RE STILL UNHAPPY, THEN HAVE THE DENTIST DO AN OFFICE BLEACHING.

Try rinsing with peroxide daily, and try Pepsodent toothpaste, it really helped me.
