I cracked an egg open and instead of the egg white being an opaque clear white, it was (in the best way I can describe it) neon yellow. Anybody know the reasoning for this?

there's been some contamination thro the shell .some coloured substances can seep thro even the smallest ,invisible crack turning it into a rave egg( woo woo!) the bin is definitely calling to this little eggy

I opened one the other day and the white was neon, almost florescent yellow. Needless to say it went in the garbage, but glad to know that this has occurred with other people's eggs

Weird! If the yok had not broken inside and mixed w/ the white, I'd say it must be some feed they're giving the chickens. Take it back to the store for a refund.

Not likely contamination. It is more than likely something the chicken ate. Excessive vitamins like riboflavin or even weeds can make the whites of your eggs yellow and even an odd green color.
