People think that the land should be all Jewish or all Arab depending. Many people think the time is not yet upon us, and forcing it will just turn out worse.

I can't speak for everyone but I can say that having been a Muslim and seeing what Muslims and Palestinians truly believe, they will never accept Israels existence. They will compromise temporarily such as agree to have Gaza, West Bank and East Jerusalem be an independent Palestinian state. But eventually they will want the rest of Israel.
The only option for Israel is to either encourage conversion to Judaism for Palestinians or expel them just like the Arab nations expelled the Jews from there countries.
What has happened in Gaza is proof enough that a 2 state solution will not work.

While I think that a lot of Joe-Shmoe-Palestinians-on-the-street might be happy with a two state solution, their leaders would not be.
Israel withdrew from Gaza, and we see what peace that brought.
The PLO was started in 1964. At that time, Gaza was part of Egypt and the West Bank was part of Jordan. Did the PLO and the Palestinians living there try to start their own state? No, their only interest was the destruction of Israel. I don't think anything has changed.

For the Palestinians, the state may be very weak and the Israelis may reoccupy it at any time.
For the Israelis, the same thing that happened what they withdrew from Gaza may happen.

There are still extremist organizations such Hamas and Hezbollah which wish for the destruction of the State of Israel, even if the State of Palestine comes into existence.

I just know that the Palestinians won't give up any land and only want more land even what they can't have and Israel is willing to give them any land for a two state sollution.

Violence continues
If a Palestinian state is established, it just gives them a chance to launch and even more powerful assault on Israel. A place to launch missiles from, an organized government to send out terrorists from, etc.

I think it is the ONLY viable plan. I just worry because returning Gaza to Palestinian control has not led to decreased attacks on Israelis.
