No matter how one describes the wrong doing of this nasty, unjust war or try to put some sense in these "war supporters brain!!", nothing will help!
And they always come up with some stupid explanations, remarks or accusations as it appears here among responses!
They've learned perfectly well from their leader:
Stay firm, even if you don't make sense
and look dumb and witless!

How many times will you ask the same question?
I'm ashamed of vets who aren't aware of current events or facts on the ground where their brothers and sisters are.
I'm incensed that you are so blinded by some derangement that you'd actually compare fellow veterans to Nazis. You should hope we never meet.
More and more the average Iraqs have been rallying to us against al Qaeda and radical elements. So you'll have to put up some support for your bald assertion that the new government there is disagreeable in some way.
We haven't forced anything on anyone. We forced the old regieme out and then asked the Iraqis what they want'ed to replace it with. The current government is reflective of Iraqi will, not ours.
Same story in Afghanistan, it just didnt' take as long to convince them that we were not there to stay or take over. Then again, we didn't abandon the Afghans in recent memory like we did the Iraqis in 1991, so there's some justification for distrust.
So to correct the strawman you present--if foreign troops came into the US and put down a brutal dictator, removed his sons who only promised further generations of repression and then helped us rebuild what had been destroyed, protected our neighborhoods and helped us set up elections for a new government, then no, I would not fight them unless I beleived that it was a deception or that they'd abandon us to chaos anyway.

We've got some nasty solders among the good ones.
Some society's washed out and having bad souls. They're the one giving bad names to others. Some of them are still on trial for the crimes and slaughter they have done. SHAME!

The analogy to the Germans holds good for Gulf War I in which Iraq invaded another country. If falls apart completely when applied to Gulf War II when the US engaged in regime change.

You don't have to be a Veteran to know that there is absolutely no comparison. The Iraq war is a noble cause. What Hitler did is something to be ashamed of.

Get a little perspective. Hitler was committing genocide. The only thing Bush has genocided is our federal budget.
And, when you think about it, Afghanistan, Iraq, and the insane 'War on Terror,' in general /are/ our reaction to Islamists trying to force thier will & values here.

In case you missed it, they have been trying to force their religious views on the entire world. If you don't believe their way, they kill your citizens with suicide bombers. this sounds 'basically identical' to"Hitler's forced will on others".
