I'd mutter "one more snip outta either one of you and I'm callin the PoPo for a domestic dispute."
That's my new word for the week, PoPo.

If after a few attempts to change the subject, they persisted, I'd insist on excusing them on the basis that someone isn't feeling well. If they were the only guests, then both hosts suddenly "start feeling very unwell" and ask their guests to excuse them, offering to first wrap up some refreshments for them to take home and offering to return any "host gift" these cranks brought. If you had several guests, then you gush concern that one or both of these cranky guests is obviously "under the weather" and insist that they return home and start taking care of themselves. "Oh no, you're too kind. But I can tell that you aren't feeling up to par, Melissa. I'll go get your coat right now." (Or, "I can tell that both of you are feeling crummy.)
People who can't put on a good act of enjoying themselves should "get the gong" and leave the stage -- not spoil things for everyone else.

Why do human beings continuously bicker among themselves? human beings and their satisfaction = data that the human race can in no way stay in peace. the international is crammed with hypocrites from ALL walks of life and perception platforms. BTW the folk who do such issues do no longer persist with Yahshua, and are not His, so consequently do no longer qualify interior the genuine sense, as to what you call Christians. human beings can declare even though they prefer, yet interior the top, anyone's BS would be referred to as.

Pull out your cheap, plastic flyswatter and engage in some aversion therapy. For every impatient retort, slap 'em in the face. Not hard, just enough to sting.

Oh that's hard! The only thing I can think of is that one of you hosts - man or woman - could have asked Mrs. Snappy to come to the kitchen & help with a platter. Encourage her to vent a little, then say "well I don't blame you. But it's upsetting my spouse to hear you two going at it, can you please be nice to Mr. Snappy just for the sake of my spouse."

All I know is that someone's getting a spanking.... and it's time to stand up, and tell em it's probably better that we do this another night.

If you're the host, then put a lid on their inappropriate behavior immediately. Separate the two and talk to them individually.
