Marine's job is to get out and fight a foot battle. They are the first to take bullets. In training, people in the marines used to have to crawl through moldy food and vomit. Air Force is safer and cushier. The Airforce recruiters are horribly cocky and arrogant, maybe to keep people out since so many people want to be "top gun."
The military really needs warm working class children's bodies now since about 4,000 have been killed, about 30,000 are seriously injured, and a huge amount have acquired mental illness during war. Many are already homeless.
Tell rich republican sons (Mitt Romney and the likes) to grow balls and fight their oil for profit war.
I recommend ROTC in college and then becoming an officer.

It depends. I want to join the air force or navy because I know my chance of surviving is larger. If your on a aircarft carrier it's the safest thing to be on in the military. The marines and army have hard fitness test.

I would have to say Air Force. We're the smart ones. We send our officers off to do the fighting while we hang back and fix the jets that are unserviceable. If it ever comes down to it, we are soldiers before technicians, though. I would be proud to fight for my country. I am proud to be Canadian. I am also about to get ready to drive an hour and a half away from here to a place called Lac La Biche, Alberta to spectate tomorrow's Remembrance Day Parade to remember and honour those that gave the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that we don't all have to speak German or that our women will not have to wear burkas. They as well gave their lives to make sure that we do not have to endure suicide bombers in our own streets. Many members of my squadron will be at El Centro Air Force Base in San Diego, California and taking part in their own, separate Remembrance Day ceremonies.

The best branch is the one you decide is better for you.
They all offer something different.
I chose the Army for my own reasons just as my father the Air Force, and my brother the Navy.
Friends and other family members are all over in different branches. Which is the best? The Navy is best for my cousin since he wanted to be on Subs. Army was best for me since I wanted to be on tanks. etc...

Depends, if your fine with dying and having a high chance of getting hurt, the marines. If theres such a thing as a movie that scares you, then I could say the marines is not for you, because night driving in Iraq is a 1000x more scarier then any movie you will ever watch.

it depends on what the person wants to do. some jobs get more recognition in different branches. my husband is in the air force, and he gets to go to tons of places. his job is more appreciated in the other branches though, which kind of sucks. but the air force has been pretty good to him otherwise.

It makes little difference. Wherever you are in the military, you are still just a gun for someone else's political game. And as someone else's tool, your value is the same.
