How can anyone be sure that the money they spend to vote, answer or ask on a television phone in will go to whatever is stated, or even if the phone in is legal. Even programs like Blue Peter are faking phone ins. How can the public verify the authenticity before they shell out their hard earned cash?

You can't can you? I can't imagine getting so involved in a tv programme that I would bother to vote. It's not worth it!
