My boyfriend is wonderful when it's just me and him. He calls and texts me all the time telling me how much he wants to see me and hold me, etc., and we get along great. But when we actually go out (with his friends) he ignores me and turns into a completely different person. He "toughens up" and refuses to hold my hand, put his arm around me, or sometimes even look at me. He gets even worse when we're around his female friends. He will walk next to them and leave me behind. Then afterwards he will tell me I'm overreacting. The strange thing is, he only ignores me around certain guy friends. And it's not like he's a little boy, he's 20! It's just getting ridiculous. What is up with him?

At 20, he is still a little boy - especially as you've described him.
he feels like he has to show them he's not too attached to you.

I would refuse to hang out with him when he's out with these friends. Tell him you're tired of being treated poorly.

If he acts that way once you and him are round his friends, imagine how he must be speaking about you on your absence. this isn't a good signal. it really is no longer something that you're imagining or making too a lot about both. He sounds like a jerk and also you deserve extra positive than to be dealt with like that. you would favor to guage a diverse boyfriend.

This is pretty normal I would say, guys usually toughen up when around their buddies, remember that he also needs to spend time with his friends as well, I mean he doesn't belong to you, sometimes couples need a little bit of spacing between them just to keep a balance of things, these are the little details that will keep the relationship less boring. Let him be with his friends just the way he does with you. Just chill a little bit.

It sounds like you've told him how you feel already, but try again. Just tell him without getting angry that you don't like how he treats you around his friends. A good boyfriend should treat you the same around everyone if he really cares about you. Give it a little more time and keep mentioning how you feel, and if he doesn't shape out, end it.

It sounds like he wants to show of in front of all the mats that he has and in front of females is he still saying I'm free? i know, now and then it happens but all the time? don't think so your not a dog. I would ask him why he does it if he says I'm not well as you have already told him then i don't think he is the right one
Good luck

He's 20 so he's still into the "doing things with the guys" stuff. Be glad he atleast takes you with him.
