the only games i'm really interested in playing is Mario and Monkey Ball. i'm not some crazed serious gamer. I just like the occasional video games. Here are some of the things i've heard.
PS2:
-Needs something to play with more then 2 people. This might be a problem considering i like to play with a lot of friends.
-Guitar Hero is only compatable with PS2. Not gamecube.
-Plays DVD's and CD's.
Gamecube:
-Can play up to 4 players with no other accesories.
-Isn't making any new games for it.
-Lightweight
People have said the PS2 has better games, but i honestly have no clue. Thanks =D

PS2 without a doubt. Just buy the 4 player multi tap adapter or play on line for no additional charge. gamecube is all but obsolete.

PS2 has a lot of games. Last one to be released in 2009.

Definatly PS2, they are continuing to make games for it, i think they stopped making gamecube games, so you better of with PS2.

Just get PS2 ... i never heard nor buy gamecube at all... anyways... it is cool for me

well I would get the PlayStation but the game cube is a lot cheaper.
