i didn't know that pork products are illegal to send in care packages overseas will my husband get in big trouble or will they just not let him have the chips?

oh yea and do they open the packages before the soldiers recieve them?

They can open the packages in customs, but it doesn't happen often. They only say you can't send pork products because Muslims don't eat pork so apparently it's offensive. I think our military presence there is probably more offensive than pork rinds, but that's just me.

If the package gets inspected, they might remove them, but other than there should be no problems. No one is going to take them away from him, and he won't get into trouble.

If he were in basic training then yes they would open his package as for the pork rinds no he shouldn't get in trouble hope you sent enough for everyone else a little taste of home is just that when it comes time to share

N O, as a matter of fact, if your husband is not a muslim. those pork rinds ARE NOT illegal!!

basic training yes ,but if he is over seas in the desart then no wont be a bit of trouble .they r trying to be policaly correct because we r in musslim country and they dont eat pork it will be fine

If he is in Basic Training, then yes, he'll get in trouble. Anywhere else, no.
If the box isn't labeled correctly and x-rays make them suspicious, then they will open the package.

They serve bacon at the DFAC, so he'll be fine. If he's unsure, he can declare amnesty on it and turn it into his chain of command. That's what I did when my mother sent me alcohol.
