I was born in the age of dinasours when 'dating' consisted of dinner and a movie and a good night kiss at the door.

What is dating today? Does it automatically include sex? Co-habitation? Exclusivity? Or what

Depends on the couple. Sometimes its just casual dating, goign out to the movies or whatever, sometimes in means sex other times it doesnt. Sometimes when you are dating, the couple in exclusive sometimes they arent. Datingf can be a wide variety of things these days

I was born in 1980 (not the age of the dinasours) and I think your idea of date sounds like the right idea. If it automatically includes sex, co-habitation or exclusivity...then count me out! :)

Dating today is exciting and expensive ( for men....lol...sorry)

If you are dating for fun and just to get out there meeting new people movies, dinner, ski resorts, parks, attending any type or live sports games, concerts and museums are for you.

If you are dating for romance/sex dinner, plays, musicals, dinner (you or your partner makes), luxury hotel stays with a spa (the trick is to say its a spa retreat with privacy to get to KNOW each other).

If you are dating for love then go on random dates doing anything that makes the two of you happy alternating from things you want to do to the things they like and open up to every date that you feel actually has a pulse (for you) show and share your true feelings, intentions and expectations and I am sure you will not be dating for long.

I don't really know from personal experience, but from what I've seen on movies and TV shows it always seems to include sex on the first date. Terrible world we live in today isn't it? I absolutely agree with peaches6.

I always ask the same question. In my day, it was the same. . . dinner and a movie. It's scary out there today. The men don't know what's appropriate to do or say to a woman and the other way around.

I'm starting to wonder myself. Last week I heard one of my Cub scouts talking about this girl he was "dating!" I asked him where he took her on the date...he said, " what do you mean?" Then I found out they just met at the park, and kissed behind a tree. This is from a 10 yr old! On the one hand, it was funny and cute. On the other hand, I was thinking wow, 10 is young! Is it too many hormones in the milk? I dunno!

well, i'm going to say that for teenagers, its about going out with a group to dinner or the movies, and if youre alone with him or her, then thats just making out in the bedroom when parents arent home.

that is not dating, sorry.

I don't even get a good night kiss. You all were very liberal in those days.
