Years ago, I never used to hear things before I go to sleep. I started hearing some things about a few years ago, and now, they're really frequent. It ranges from sounds like doors or stomping to people talking, laughing, or yelling. Sometimes, when they're voices, they talk about me, but not actually to me. Is this normal? None of this used to happen at all.

maybe your just imagining things the human mind can create horrifying false sounds and images if you keep on thinking that you hear voices then you will keep on hearing voices becuase thats all your mind is thinking about which makes the voices seem worser than they actually are

Dear estrells,
Are these voices heard by your ears or are they in your mind like your friendly little thought voice but definitely not that voice but an other voice or voices? Do you live in an apartment or condominium where there may be a lot of people up later than you? If the latter is true then if the voices are heard by your ears not thought voices then in all likely hood they are just other people tromping around, slamming doors or conversing.
If however the voices are mental in your mind and definitely other then you may be hallucinating. Usually hallucinations are quite upsetting because they are so personal and unwelcome. Hallucinations don't usually wait till you are in bed but occur at any time.
About 40% of the general population report having had an hallucination during their life but only 1-2% are considered to have psychotic hallucinations. Look up, :hallucinations", "schizophrenia" and "bi-polar disorder" in Yahoo! web search for more info on these disorders. Wikipedia has good summary's.
If the voices and sounds are getting too troublesome or distressing you may want to talk to you GP Dr. about them. He can recommend a further treatment if one is needed.
Good luck getting to sleep, good mental health, peace and Love!

>What have been those Muffled voices i'd desire to'int make words of i don't be responsive to. My spouse and that i adventure the comparable style of factor as we pass to sleep. as quickly as I used to visit sleep at artwork (it replaced right into a very boring table activity in a very quiet workplace) i could hear the voices very loud yet in no way could make out a single word. >Are some human beings greater at risk of spirits? particular, yet greater human beings see them than you may understand. human beings do exactly no longer talk approximately it. Seeing or listening to from somebody presently while they died is definitely relatively basic. The college of Virginia has a catalogue of books they advise on the subject. link under. >Do/did I actually have a psychological sickness ? i do no longer think of so. Like I mentioned, those issues are greater basic than you already know. yet our society teaches us that we would desire to no longer talk approximately them. i'm shocked there are not a team of hateful solutions right here already. generally there's a team of persons on YA that elect to shout down something in this difficulty. >Is there a connection between me listening to those voices while i replaced into little and me seeing my grandmothers spirit hover over me? i do no longer think of so, yet perhaps i'm incorrect. My spouse and that i the two hear the voices, and we the two have had after-death communications from kin. >is this a present? Or relatively uncommon? i do no longer think of it relatively is all that uncommon, however the present is taking it heavily and not attempting to forget approximately approximately it.

This can be very entertaining or, as you indicate quite abit of an annoyance.
Has anything major changed in your life that may triggered this?
Think back to the approx time it started, and see if you can discover a partially unusual event. It could be the death of someone close to you or, maybe something that happened at work or while you were driving? Sometimes it's the little things in life that can have major influnces over us. (in bigger ways then ever imagine.)
You might want to talk to someone who is a profession, on a one to one basis, to gain an insight to this.
Just wishing you the best~!

well it may be peopple in your house making noise, or you may have a psychological condition called schizophrenia.
schizophrenia comes on in the late teens and takes about 10 years to become a full blown psychosis.

It is probably from the stress in your environment.
That happens to me too pretty often.
Just try to relax before you go to bed.. Maybe meditate..
But if it's freaking you out maybe you should talk to a professional about it.
