Can't speak the language, and won't, can't understand the traffic signs, and can't go to educational classes or driving school to learn? Should any politician that is in favor of it, and supporting it be thrown out of office?

What do some of you people not understand about Illegal?!!? We have a legal system, we are the most excepting country on earth, Legally we bring in more immigrants than an other country on this earth, PERIOD!!!

do you really think that just having a license makes you a good driver? It just means you can pass a test. There would be very few car accidents if everyone that had a license was a "good " driver.
Giving a driver's license to an illegal alien does nothing to improve the safety of our raods, it only validates their so called cause. They are here illegally! As low of a crime you may think it is to violate immigration laws, it is still just that.... LAWS. Any government agency (federal, state, or local) should not recognize some one who does not have the legal right to be in this country.
Any politician who supports giving licenses to illegal aliens has no respect for the laws which they are elected to uphold.

Some states will give a driver's license to an illegal. Go figure. The illegals fill up vans and travel there because a driver's license can be used to get all sorts of other documentation that will create the illusion that the person is here legally.
Go figure why some dumb-butt states would do this. And yes, every politician who supports the presences of illegals in this nation needs to be kicked out of office.

1. Many illegal aliens do speak and understand English.
2. The most difficult driving in the United States is what New York City taxi drivers do. So many NYC taxi drivers have been persons who did not speak English that I once rode in a taxi in a French-speaking place whose driver spoke English and commented later (as a joke) that it was interesting that you had to leave the U.S. to find an English-speaking taxi driver. (I was exaggerating at the time; some NYC taxi drivers were English speakers.) If you can drive a taxi in NYC without knowing English, you should be able to drive anywhere.
3. In California, the driving test is available in multiple languages, including Spanish. I see no reason that we cannot offer driving schools and educational classes in any language, and we probably already do (I have not checked).
4. Understanding English is not necessary to obey traffic signs. A red octagon means stop, a white rectangle with a number is a speed limit, etc. You can tell this without reading the words. Anyway, most U.S. citizens disobey the speed limit signs, so why does it matter if a person can read them?

This annoys the hell out of me.
I am a full-legal US resident, I passed all the requirements to come to this country and i'm glad that I made the move.
When I got my license over here I had to pass the tests just the same as an American does, so why the hell should an ILLEGAL simply be GIVEN them???

What does them having a license back in their own country have to do with it? I had a UK drivers' license for 17 years, I drove in all that time and never had a single accident. I still had to obtain a license over here though in order to legally drive, and so should everyone else.

they can get them because liberals are willing to exchange lunatic policies for votes. democrats have become traitors to the union and are hell-bent on securing their power so that they can implement their master plan - communism - by allowing illegals to come in unfettered (to be fair, the republicans do this too but for different reasons), promise and deliver entitlements like drivers licenses, health care, tuition, housing, welfare, etc. thereby guaranteeing these people vote democrat forever. what these simpletons do not understand and have the example right in front of them in los angeles, is that once these illegals get in and start voting, they vote for HISPANIC politicians. pretty soon, this will happen everywhere and our children will be cleaning the toilets of MEXICANS in fifty years...that is, unless we do something to stop both illegals and those who pander to them.

Because there are some people who work for the DMV who are looking for quick easy cash. So they sell others peoples licenses and IDs to them. It happens alot.

i'm thinking maybe we can go after the federal govt for allowing all this to go on. it's just crazy for any one to be in this country and not learn english.

Also traffic signs are symbolic, rare use of language... How do you think that dyslexic people can drive??
