See, I'm going to explain my question, what if hell isn't real, you know like some people use the boogie man stories to keep kids in line or the old scarey stories about "lovers lain murders" to keep the kids out of there and keep them out of trouble. What if hell isn't real what if it was made up to keep us in line as a cautionary type of tale of sorts. Also anyone else rather believe hell is here and now on earth? I mean look around you where else do you lose loved ones, see people suffer watch your family and friends suffer to me that is more hell than anything anyone could ever come up with. Do people really believe that there is some big lake of fire somewhere? These are legit questions so don't be rude to me and I wont be rude to you.

lol i hate typos too interior the e book of revelation, it mentions, hell and hades would be thrown into the lake of fire. Now fairly, can a place of fire be thrown into yet another place of fire? the theory of hell as a place of torment isn't genuine. How can God make one go through continuously for below a spec in time. activity additionally asked to be in hell rather than face Gods anger. fairly what's being stated right here. Hell is the grave. the completed factor of Jesus and there are 9 recorded resurrections interior the bible, to instruct a while a guy or woman dies, they do no longer exist anymore , purely in Gods memory. this is the factor to having a resurrection or transforming into up back. it to stay. rather hell fire is a coaching comes from Babylon. So, your opportunities are high 0. there is not any midway. this is the enormous experience or nada. God is merciful that he would not prefer anyone to die. he won't placed persons able of torment, the depraved inspite of the undeniable fact which would be destroyed, they gained't exist, like many circumstances interior the bible it states how a branch is decrease off from the tree. it falls and dies. in no way as quickly as does the bible ever say it the dep. which become decrease save on giving undesirable or stable fruit and gave root. Like a guy or woman, because of the fact the bible says back, while a guy or woman dies, their innovations perish, they do no longer seem to be wakeful of no longer something in any respect. Bible books Isiah, and Ecclesiastes

Why not look at it like this:
Would you deny suffering on earth ...no I think not!!
If you commit a crime here on earth you are punished for it with a custodial sentence if it is serious enough. Some escape judgement or punishment for crimes on earth...but would a murderer who had escaped the judicial system here go unpunished beyond here do you think?
What goes around comes around, not many would deny that.
Our time here on earth might not be long enough to experience the effect of what we have put in, so to speak.
We have to reap the benefit or loss somewhere beyond here because this life is short..

Maybe hell is not exactly what we think it is but hell here on earth (earthly sufferings) should be enough of a warning to tell us hell beyond is real enough...Be positive and believe in divine mercy and grace...optimism and hope are good thoughts to have, but treading the earth with due care to not stand on others toes, so to speak, is also important.

Best wishes :)

According to the bible and the origins of the words used in it for Hell, there is no big lake or pit of fire, it is the resting place for the dead ie grave and if you fail to find eternal life with God the alternative is eternal oblivion - which is what non - believers are usually expecting anyway.

Don't worry, I don't plan on being rude. Those definitely are legitimate questions. Questions everyone has to ask at some point. And what have you got to lose? If Hell isn't real, then you don't have much to worry about. But the question you really should be asking is...What if it IS real?

As far as Jews are concerned...there's no such thing as Hell (unless you count a mother-in-law moving in with you).

Christians bash their followers over the head with threats of eternal damnation.

Jews, on the other hand, believe that if you really screw-up, you get 08 months tops in G-d's rehab unit...then off to heaven you go. Unless, you're a complete maniac and not worth saving...then he just obliterates you.

Hell is what you allow it to be.

We are told that when we die, we realize what God is. Hell is being denied His presence. I do not worry or even think about hell, I am just concerned with spreading God's love on earth.

As others have asked; my answer to this question is also..."what if hell is real?" I'd rather go on the notion that hell is real; and be wrong than to go on the notion that it is not; and then find that I AM WRONG...burning for an eternity!

Jesus told it like this: I will indicate to you whom to fear: Fear Him who after killing has authority to throw into Ge·hen´na. Yes, I tell you, fear this One. What does this mean? For the wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life by Christ Jesus our Lord. For he who has died has been acquitted from his sin.And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha´des gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds. And death and Ha´des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire. Furthermore, whoever was not found written in the book of life was hurled into the lake of fire. These very ones will undergo the judicial punishment of everlasting destruction from before the Lord and from the glory of his strength. Wicked people will turn back to Sheol,
Even all the nations forgetting God. For not always will the poor one be forgotten, Nor will the hope of the meek ones ever perish. For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all, neither do they anymore have wages, because the remembrance of them has been forgotten.
