Push yourself away from the table a little sooner. You know what it would take to lose the poundage, you just seem to be looking for an easy solution to your "bulkiness".

get active and involved in a sport or take a workout class. it really is not hard to lose weight, you just have to have the correct mind set. whenever you feel like reaching over to the cupboard for a cookie, think about how great you would look when you are skinny. decide whether the cookie or the looking great is more important. Try new, healthy foods until you find things you really enjoy; the same goes for excercise. if you find things you love to do that are good for you, you will stick to them. try to cut out junk food and limit tv time as well. oh, and try to avoid certain activities you know will make youu eat excess food. having a workout buddy or trainer is also a good idea. do not go on any fab diets! they don't work in the long run!

Calorie reduction is critical. Meats carry much more in the way of calories for their density. I recommend mostly or all vegetarian. I'm 6 foot and 175 w/o exercise and I'm not gaining any weight. I totally control it with diet. That said, you may not like that advice, I recommend exercise too. Running or swimming is taxing and it motivates you. Get a workout partner to keep you committed, some at my old gym used to even use trainers. I used to exercise more but work is really busy right now. Breads and pastas can help retain weight too. I don't recommend Atkins, he died of a heart attack I believe and it causes your body to go into ketosis, not good. HTH.

I would suggest that you go to weight watchers and go on the point system. You will lose weight for sure. Bascially the point system is where you have a certain number of points per day and you can eat whatever you want. However, make sure you do not go over your points. I went to weightwatchers and I already lost over 12 points in 6 weeks. I myself is 6'1 and was 237 now I am down to at least 222 the last time I checked.
Hope this helps

Let me suggest a couple of ways you can go. The first is to join Weight Watchers and your work will be done for you. The second is to buy a good book on nutrition. Two that come to mind are, "The Everything Nutrition Book" and "The Complete Idiots Guide to Total Nutrition". As far as exercise goes, I'm fairly certain that walking would be aerobic for you and a good way to burn fat. It really is that simple, but before I go let me suggest another avenue. Richard Simmons has a diet called Deal-A-Meal and is very nutritionally sound. Good luck and please don't be fooled by the get thin fast ads you read. They are a pack of lies. grrrrrrrr.

i hope this helps but you must eat less than you do but eat small and often please never miss breakfast as it is the most important food of the day and take up walking, swimming or if you can do sit ups or like me run up and down the stairs starting a 5 times a day and increase it by 5 a week this must be do at least twice a day also drink as muh water as you possibly can because that will flush a lot of the toxins out of your body and make you feel healthier which will help DON'T WASTE your money on a gym as there are many muscle bound posers there which will do your confidence a lot of harm lastly good luck

Chris, no easy answer but there are a couple of things you can do to ease yourself into a healthier lifestyle. If you stop eating fast food except for simple salads (green salad only, no added "crispy fried chicken strips" and a vinaigrette dressing), stop drinking alcohol and soft drinks, increase your intake of plain water or water with lemon or lime juice for flavor and try to walk for 30-60 minutes a day at a moderate pace you WILL start seeing positive changes within a couple of weeks. And it isn't very hard to begin and stay with, which is a big plus. You can increase your exercise gradually in time, but for now concentrate on a simple program.

i started using a recording that my sis got me a month ago. It's great. A therapist created these weight loss recordings and they don't cost much at all. Plus they really are working. AND I don't feel like I'm on a diet. The company is called independent achievement productions and really helped. Good luck.

Walk for 20 minutes at least three times a week, add ten minutes each week until you are up to a hour, swim, eat twenty percent less of what you are eating now, and drink lots of water, no soda, unless diet, do not eat after 7:00 p.m.
and try 20 million pounds.com to see their advise
