I guess it depends on where you work and what you want to do. I plan to go into illustration as well, and I really doubt there will be any opposition to body mods. But to be on the safe side, when you go for an interview, make sure you're covered up just in case. However, looking for a part-time job may prove to be difficult. If you plan to work as a server in a restaurant or in retail, there's a chance some places will look down upon mods. And if necessary, you can get flesh-colored plugs (though it won't really hide too much, seeing as how your earlobe will be huge :p) Either way, good luck!

1. Work on your spelling. 2. Dress up for ANY contacts you have with potential employers. 3. Go in with humility--you don't know it all, and your prospective employer knows you don't. 4. Why should you be hired over someone else? Have an answer that outlines the benefits of hiring you. 5. Why do you want to work for this company? Be as specific as possible. For each company, the answer will be different. What work ethic do you have? Are you a fast learner? Are you prepared to start at the bottom, do the scud work, and committed to working your way up? No doubt you've been told you're creative, and no one has complained about working with you on projects in school, but that's school; it doesn't count for much. Do you have references? a resume? You should bring both, and contact numbers for your references. Don't forget to ask your references if they mind, if they hesitate, get someone else without getting upset. Good luck.

I know a person who started at Target at 16 and was a department manager at 19. Not what most people want to do with her life, she became a teacher.
