I don't have any idea. No matter what anyone does to my hair, it goes back to its original shape; a horrible blob of curls. It has a mind of its own.
Good luck with your new hair-do, Who Am I!

Cold, this cools down the hair folicals and in theory it will set the hair, this is why professional hairdryers were made with the cool setting in the first place.

The cool setting on the blowdryer is one of the most overlooked styling aids we have available to us.
To set your style after you've used heat, give it a shot of cool air.

I was always told by a hairdresser that you style you're hair as usual then 'set' it with cool air (the cool button on your hairdryer)

Cold.
Cold air seals the hair shaft and makes your hair shiny and sets the style.
Warm air, or water, actually opens up the shaft.
