What does it mean when a guy says lets take a break for a while? Does he not want to be with me anymore?

My boyfriend told me that he thinks we should take a break from each other for a while wat does that mean??Does he not want to be with me anymore and I was in a one year relationship with him

It means he is not fulfilled by the relationship and thinks he can find something better elsewhere but is not sure.

A break? I know one couple who took a break - the girl wanted it. he found a girlfriend very soon. so.... when she tried to return it was not possible. Tell him that if you're going to have a break you're not going to stay alone. if he still insists... I'm afraid he's afraid to break up for some reason but he's not satisfied with your relationship any more. try talking to him about your problems, may be he's tired of problems, quarreling, not you... talk. if it doesn't help and he still wants to have a break it's not a good sign. Do you trust him? can he be looking for something else and keeping you as a last variant? you know if he's a nice person or somebody you don't trust. Anyway - you loose nothing. if he's bad - let him go. if he wants to work on your relationship - do it. for freshening relationship try going to a new place or doing something interesting. when you want to have a rest from each other you go on separate vacation, not break up.... It depends on his situation, he may have pressure from family, friends etc...Just give him the space he needs and don't constantly call or show up at his door, this may make him end the relationship all together be patient. Explore new opportunities yourself show him you are strong...
