Keeping a puppy happy and healthy can be hard, but you can do it if you consider these tips:
- You should probably be taking the puppy on three walks a day to get all of its energy out so it won't go crazy randomly during the day.
- Your dog should be getting fed three times a day; one time in the morning, one time at about noon, and one time in the evening. But, you should always have water available.
- Give your puppy's ears a regular cleaning; about once a week.
- Play with your dog often.
- Give him a treat for fun once in a while, he deserves it!
- Groom his fur often. Not only will this make him look nice, it'll also prevent him from having skin disease.
- No table scraps!
- Make sure your pet knows his boundaries. You can use baby gates to block off places he shouldn't be.
- Don't abuse your puppy in any way while training him; he's just learning and everybody makes mistakes.
- Teach your puppy a cool new trick (Playing dead, jumping through a hula hoop, bowing down to you, etc.). Your puppy will love showing off for guests with these amazing tricks!
My email is deraj78@yahoo.com if you have any more questions about your puppy!
Good luck!
P.S. What breed is your puppy?

With your puppies I have found that an hour of play time then place them back in their crate of playpen so they can rest. Young puppies need just as much rest as sleep. Buy toys that are the correct size for the puppy. And feed the puppie three small meals per day and always make sure the puppy had fresh clean water

Take him for vet checks twice a year(appointments should be spread out), make sure he always has plenty of quiality food(like Canidae, not purina or iams or science diet and al those other bad quiality foods), be sure he alwyas has water. Take him for walks everyother day to get excercise for him.
Oh yeah and be sure to spay or nueter your pup when it's 5 months old.

spend time to play with your puppy as much as you can, their life is much shorter than you. You would regret after they pass away that you have not spend more time with them.
A comfortable environment and avoid disturb them during eating, sleeping.
Balanced diet, dog food is more than enough, don't feed it with human food, some might make them sick or even heart attack, e.g. chocolate, grapes, beer/wine....
Basic check up and vaccination every year. Pay attention whenever they act abnormal, e.g. ticks bite, leg twisted, food poisoning...

Go outside and run them around until they wear out, then feed them, then pet them to sleep. Keep up on vaccinations, including heartworm, and buy good food, there are some great natural foods out there.

Give him healthy food, lots of veggies and fruits, and lean protein. Play and exercise with him, as much as you can. Lot of water.
