hard to tell the weather has been unusually mild dropped into the 30's and 40's (normal)a few days --now it's back up into the 50's and 60's -- you should bring a coat, gloves (could buy a cheap pair here),a sweater or two , probably long sleeve shirts with sleeves you can push/roll up if the temps are warmer than normal or wear sleeves down if it get cold

(the shampoo, moisturizer toothpaste etc - you could save room in your suit case and buy them when you get here)

It's not just the airports in your area - those are the Federal regulations now. [It's 3 oz, BTW.] You bring the 3-ounce bottles in your quart ziplock bag in your carry-on and the larger bottles in your checked bag. Fifteen pounds is plenty for a carry-on - your laptop is a separate piece [you're allowed two items, so put your purse in your carry-on until you get on the plane]. Bring an empty water bottle and fill it at the water fountain after you go through security.

Christmas in Erie? Wow! Bring lots of warm clothes.

LOL at the answer about how boring Erie is!!!

That liquid rule is really annoying but there are ways around it...

-Go to the Dollar Store or Walmart and go into the shampoo area. They should have a travel section with small products especially for traveling. You can also find small plastic bottles that you can fill yourself with shampoo, soap, or whatever else you need. You could do this before your trip or you could go shopping for them once you arrive in Pennsylvania.

-Hotel are aware that travelers can't bring liquids and will often compensate by giving you a small package of toothpaste, lotion, soap, and shampoo. You can request it but usually they just place these items in the bathroom.

-You can bring your laptop, that shouldn't be a problem. Just make sure to pack a lot of warm clothing because it gets chilly in Pennsylvania in the winter.

Remember, even though it's annoying that you can't bring a lot of liquids with you it's not the end of the world. They'll give you something to drink once you arrive on the plane and hotels will give you stuff for free for staying in their hotel. You should be fine. Happy travelings!

I can kind of tell you what do pack, you will want to pack sweaters and heavy items, because it will be cold there. I live about 2 hours south of there and it is all ready starting to freeze. In Erie there will probably be snow by Christmas. Check with your hotel a lot of them supply hair dryers and iron, so wouldn't have to bring those items. If you are getting a car see what stores are near by and maybe you can buy the liquids and moistures you need instead of having to pack them. Hope this helps.
