This movie will not fare very well. Liberalism has already shown it's hatred of the war in many other ways. This is just another attempt at smearing the integrity of the men and women of U.S. military and it's allies. I believe the public will show it's support and unity by avoiding this sad hollywood display.

I've been a little curious about Lions for Lambs because it's being marketed and advertised as a pro war movie, but all the critics and reporters are saying it's a far left antiwar smear movie.
If that is the case I'm a little pissed that's it being released on Veterans Day but then again the US is a free country because of the sacrifices the veterans have made so they should be able to release a movie when ever they feel like it. Little bit of a catch 22. The one that really pissed me off was Kanye West releasing his new album on Sept 11th, some days should be sacred.

We are supposedly to be a civilized people who abhor violence and the inflicting of senseless pain on one another. Yet we have boxing championships at which two brawny men would, for a sum of money, try their utmost to bash out each other's brain to the roars of approval from the crowd, not unlike the barbarous days of the Romans when gladiators fought lions and each other for the entertainment of blood-thirsty spectators. We have matadors that would infuriate, torture and kill a bull just for the fun of it. And everybody, or at least the stadium -filled spectators seems to think it is fun too. YOU seem to adopt a " holier-than-thou " attitude ! It was, indeed, a devious way of exploiting the minds of people. Business and economic considerations over-ride ethical considerations. Please don't judge someone's choices without knowing the reasons behind it. Dissipitate your thoughts about the tourists - the Chinese idiots and the American teen fools. Show your courage, by bringing up the issues with the appropiate authorities !

I'd like them to make a movie where a liberal senator stops a SOF mission from wiping out a cell in some far off country and then show how that cell could cause millions of American deaths. I IN NO WAY WANT THIS TO HAPPEN IN REAL LIFE. It just seems Hollywood, American mainstream culture, and the Liberal Media see this as impossible. Our hard work is lulling them into a false sense of security.

I thought 'In the Valley of Elah' kind of portrayed young soldiers as heartless, when the ones I go to school with seem like honest citizens. But I have not seen 'Lions for Lambs' yet. I'll watch it and find out.
'In the Valley of Elah' was very moving though, despite the twisted message. It's hard to explain.

I think it's opening debut is very, very poor timing, but that's Hollywood for you. I have no plans on watching that movie anyway. Disgusting. Ranks up there with a Jane Fonda and Michael Moore movie.

The people starring and making those movies have obviously never served in the military or had to deploy and go thru the stuff we have to go thru.
