I'm not sure about the chances of getting a job with the USPS, but I have heard that it can take a long time to get a job with them. To look for other (federal) government jobs, go to http://www.usajobs.gov/

People who have no health insurance would want to. Nobody will be forced to take part in a government program just as nobody is forced to go to a public school. There is no basis (other than the Reagan and Bush administrations doing everything they can to make it so) to believe that publicly owned companies are inherently poorly run. The best airline in the world is majority owned by the Singapore government.

Go to your own local post office and ask this question.

Many local post offices hire extra help during the Christmas season.

If your own local post office won't be hiring seasonal help, they might know of one nearby which is.

Take the test. Even if you score high, it can take a couple years to get hired, but at least you'll be on the list although you aren't likely to get hired right away.
