Wisdom is wealth if you have the Lord Jesus in your heart. This is the beginning of wisdom.

When you die, your wealth will be left behind. Wealth is of this world and is something you can't take with you when you die. Wisdom on the other hand, is priceless. It's the only thing you take with you when you go; the things you have learned in this life, the experiences, the memories. Wealth is temporal, wisdom is eternal. Now which would you consider to be worth more?

Because through wisdom you can obtain wealth but wealth can never purchase wisdom.

If you have wisdom you can be smart enough to acquire wealth, but if all you have is wealth (money) can not buy wisdom.

Wealth will not guarantee your survival in heaven, but wisdom and the true desire to live eternally will. The spiritual progress we make here definitely benefits us there. It is harder for a wealthy man to yearn for more, but those who are poor monetarily keeps their eyes on the horizon in hopes for a better life in the hereafter.

Because (in the simplest terms possible)
Smarts make money.
Money doesn't make smarts.
If you have wisdom, you can create or earn wealth.
If all you have is wealth, you will spend it and be both broke and stupid.
