Actually, the Jews do not consider Jesus to be a prophet, although some may say he was a false prophet.
As to the Christian belief that Jesus is God, we know this from Jesus Himself. Jesus applied the name of God "I AM" (Cf. Exodus 3:14) to Himself in several passages. The problem is that English Bibles do not do a good job (except in one case, which is John 8:58.) Several other passages (in the Greek) are clear. These include: Matthew 14:27, Mark 6:50, Mark 13:6, Luke 21:8, John 4:26, John 6:20, John 8:24, 28, and John 13:19. Many English Bibles translate "I AM" to "It is I," or "I am He."
Further, Jesus shares attributes that are reserved for God alone. For example, the Father is eternal (Psalm 90:2), and so is the Son (John 1:2), and so is the Holy Spirit (Hebrews 9:14). Another shared attribute is their holiness. Only God is truly holy. The Father is holy (Revelation 15:4), so is the Son (Acts 3:14), and so is the Spirit (Acts 1:8).
Now, all of the previous things I've said are moot, if they are based on lies. (As so many in this forum believe.) The problem with that idea is this: No one will knowingly go to their death for a lie that they know to be a lie. And yet all of the Apostles (except for John) died with the testimony of Jesus being risen from the dead on their lips. They were even offered an opportunity to recant, and live. But they knew in Whom they'd believed, and trusted a better reward awaited them.
During the Watergate scandal of the '70s, the conspirators could not keep their lie together for two weeks. None of them was threatened with death. The worse thing that could have happened was prison. And these guys began ratting each other out at the first sign of trouble. Not so with the Apostles.
Therefore, I can stand with confidence that Jesus is not only God, but that what has been testified about Him in the Bible is true.

But if you'd read the Holy Bible you wouldn't have to ask this question, because everything will be answered.
Even the Pharisees thought they were saved and Jesus told them in their face that they're not.
The nowadays so-called Jews are not God's chosen people as many of you believe. The Isrealites are. And they were scattered all over this world after the Roman Empire took over. That's written in the Bible and is backed up by historical facts. The nowadays so-called Jews and the Islam are awaiting the Anti-Christ, which is their Messiah.
That's why the catholic church is meeting right now with all other religions to build one religion, just like the governments of this world are working on a One World Government, as it is described in The Book of Revelation, to come to worship one man, which will be the Anti-Christ.
So any men who denies The Lord Jesus shall be put to death.

How dare you say that? Just because Jews and Muslims say that Jesus was a prophet, you're automatically gonna attack all Christians? I find that very odd. We Christians believe what was seen by way-back ancestors in the past and what we were told for the past 2000 years (almost). Who knows? Maybe Jews and Muslims are the ones who are wrong and need to believe that Jesus is our Saviour. Of course, we won't know until the time comes, but in the meantime we stick to our beliefs and don't attack each other, and those who are should stop! Even myself as a Christian, not only do I have friends from different faiths, but I don't go around telling other faiths that they're wrong and deserved to be punished!

You're posing a hypothetical question for which there can be no answer.
1--We don't know that the premise is correct.
(It could be the Jews and Muslims are wrong. We could all be wrong and the Buddhists could be right. We simply cannot know.)
2--We cannot know the mind of God.
(Who can say what "punishment" means? In fact, the most effective punishments are correctional in nature... Who can say that even the "punished" cannot reclaim God's grace?)
Christians worship Jesus as the son of God because that's who He said He was/is. Seems to me that you have to ignore his own teachings to get the "just a prophet" conclusion.
I'm not religious, but these are simply the thoughts that come to me about this question...

Hello
Unfortunately you have used an incorrect apostrophy in the word "christian's".
Used in this way it makes the word a possessive noun in the singular, as in:
"The christian's car" or "The christian's toe", or "Christian's job".
"How will Christians be punished...", would have been correct.
You must remember these very basic rules of grammar if you are to be taken seriously on this type of forum.
I would have ignored your question other than for the need to correct you misspelling - as it seems that it was designed to provoke and annoy.
Each religion has different creeds and beliefs. That is the very joy of the diversity of humanity.
I'm sorry if my response has provoked or annoyed you.

Jesus made a staggering claim. If He was right He is the only way to the Fatherhood of God. If He is wrong then Christianity is useless. You cannot be neutral on this issue without abandoning intellectual honesty.

No-one will be punished, cause there is no false worship!! We all have one God , no matter how do you call Him: Allah, God, Zeus, Jupiter etc. It is told that God loves us, if He really does, how can He punish anybody just for such a thing, like religion?! Moreover, all religions (!!! not the fanatic priests etc.!!!) have more or less the similar ideas, myths etc. About Jesus, if Heracles was the son of Zeus, why can't Jesus be the son of God?!

Can you give us one source?

First, Christians would have to be wrong. 2nd there is no heaven or hell in the jewish belief system and the muslims will be too busy with the 27 virgins to bother. Seems odd to me that you reward for living a good life is so that you can go to heaven and violate women.
