The water thing is funny. Lots of cats drink from cups with their paw.

The kitty who is biting his leg is suffering from psychosis. He needs to go to the vet and get some medication for his anxiety.

My cat is pretty wierd. He dips his paw in the water, scoops some up and drinks out of his paw. He also does that with his food. And he really like drinking out of my cup. If I have a glass of milk next to me or just sitting out, he will sneak up and start drinking it.

My cat doesn't usually try to drink water from plants. However, he new thing is to knock the glass of water on my head board, onto my head at 2 in the morning. God love her. She's 10.. the only time she really goes after water is if she is out in her bowl.

Welcome to the wonderful world of cats! I have a 4 month old male who would prefer to drink out my glass than his own water dish. Cats are all different and have different personalities. Some of them can be pretty strange.

On another note, you may want to check and see why he's biting his leg. It could itch. He might have fleas or some kind of skin problem. I'd check into that.

I used to leave a glass of water on my night table. I'd often wake up thirsty and save myself a trip to the kitchen. One morning I woke up to what felt like rain drizzle on my face. My cat Alex had been dipping his paw to drink and when he'd had enough, proceeded to shake the excess water from his paw.

Not the best way to start the day.

Yeah, my kitty will go out of her way to get water that she's not supposed to have. Like if you leave the sink on for a sec and walk away she'll try and practically bathe in it lol. As for the leg thing, maybe it hurts or they got something on it that they don't like. Maybe you could try washing the leg or taking it to a vet for an x-ray.

My cats used to do that when we were away, but we've learned our lesson, and now we put the cups in the sink! lol!

By the way, the cat that's biting his leg- that's not good. It's called anxiety, and you need to bring him to the vet.

Good luck!
