"IDENTIFYING THE PROPHET"
These questions can be answered in the affirmative. Who is this prophet?
This prophet was not one man, but a body of men and women. It was the small group of footstep followers of Jesus Christ, known at that time as International Bible Students. Today they are known as Jehovah's Christian witnesses.
Of course, it is easy to say that this group acts as a "prophet" of God. It is another thing to prove it. The only way that this can be done is to review the record. What does it show? WT. 4/1/72 p 197 (see Deut. 18::21)
Here you go kids...WBTS is God's Prophet, by their own claim...and they are wrong, time and time again...WAKE UP Kids, and look at the Gospel.
There is so much proof that they believe that they alone are God's prophet. Can someone please help me understand this circular thinking?

"And IF thou say in thine heart, HOW SHALL WE KNOW the word which the LORD hath not spoken? When a prophet speaketh in the name of the LORD, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the LORD hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shall not be afraid of him" (Deut. 18: 21, 22).
Notice: There are only two points to consider to "know" a false prophet: (1) Does he speak in the name of the LORD? (2) Did the thing predicted fail to come to pass?
Point 1. The Watchtower Society's claim to be Jehovah's Prophet.
"More accurately, was there any group on whom Jehovah would be willing to bestow the commission to speak as a 'prophet' in His name, as was done toward Ezekiel back there in 613 B.C.E.? (The Watchtower, 3-15-72, p. 189). "It is of importance to every individual on earth to identify the group that Jehovah has commissioned as his 'servant' or messenger.... For this reason forthcoming issues of The Watchtower

Their own publications proclaim them to be a prophet! April 1st, 1972 (pg. 197)--Watchtower proclaimed that they are indeed a prophet.
They are a FALSE prophet because what they say has NOT come to pass (the test of a true prophet, old testament) and they are teaching ANOTHER JESUS and another gospel (test in new testament of a false prophet).
This is a magazine company--that is pretending to be God's voice and God's organization in these "last days".
Beware! Their false translation of the scriptures (the New World Translation) and their mind control techniques are very deceptive and lead many astray from finding out that Jesus is the WAY, the TRUTH and the LIFE. That Jesus gave us a FREE gift of grace when we accept his perfect sacrifice on the CROSS.
God bless you for trying to wake everyone up to the realities of these false teachings!

I'd never make such a claim. However the problem you have is simply INSISTING that "Prophet" has only one meaning, the one YOU want.
Jehovah's Witnesses certainly meet this definition:
"an effective or leading spokesman for a cause, doctrine, or group".

Matthew 7: 21-23: "Not everyone who says to me Lord, Lord, will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Many will say to me on that day Lord, Lord, have we not prophesy in YOUR NAME, and in YOUR NAME drive out demons, and perform many miracles? Then I will tell them plainly, I NEVER knew you, Away from me, you evildoers!"
Anyone that utters the name of God Ã

Proverbs 19:5: A false witness will not go unpunished, and he who pours out lies will not go free.
The "blood law" that the WTBS claims as a "eternal death sentence" is false interpretations and is a LIE.

Why would you need to rationalize and understand what other people's religious beliefs are and why they are what they are-- look at something more constructive with your time. This group is like all other religious groups, basing a religion on manmade concepts, and embellishing it as they see fit in order to fit their own ideals, and then using brainwashing techniques, such as childhood indoctrination into religion, to convince them it is "the way".. Sad shape our world is in, where we persecute people for not having religious beliefs, or for having certain beliefs, if they don't jive with the religious beliefs of those in power.

They do not have any proof that they are God's only channel of communication. Their NWT translators did not have any formal training in Biblical languages.
JWs do not understand that we do not have any other reason to expose their brainwashing system than to lead them to real Biblical Jesus and to tel them they, like all of us, need a personal relationship with God.

No! Why don't you go ask them instead of rambling and ranting on here? If you don't believe in them, let it be. I doubt they really care. You will not change any minds with a tirade like this.
