The "still shot" car was a '69. but 68, 69, and 70's were used for moving shots since all shared the same roof line. I have frozen action shots that show a General Lee with the '70 wrap around grille. They wasted a lot of 2nd generation Chargers in that series. Speedometers were notoriously wrong at high speeds throughout the industry during the big block era.

the regular one was a 69 r/t but if you,ll notice in some jump parts of the show, the car that did the jumps was 68 you could catch that off the tail lights,but only if you was paying real close attention to it,the main car was 69 though,stunt cars that was used was sometimes 69,but mostly 68,hard to tell the difference sometimes,good luck.

It was a 1969 i had one back in the day with a 440 magnum they could fly ,speedometer read 150 but believe me they would run alot faster than that i know.
