for some people its the best move they ever made. for others, the change from Navy mentality to Army mentality was a difficult transition..

A few people I know said its pretty hard to go from Navy to Army. The biggest issue they had was when it was time for advancement they had alot of training and classes they hadn't taken because they were in a different branch and they had to complete all of them before they could advance, taking alot longer.

My son is in this program. He received a nice bonus and entered with an advanced pay grade. he is currently serving with the Army's 1st Cav in Baghdad, due home next month after a 15 month tour.

I'm not sure what they call it. But any time you can stay in the Military which ever branch you have made a wise career choice. The benifits down the road are more than worth it.
