In my view all extended warranties are a con and I refuse to buy them. Ask the salesperson how much commission they get for selling it to you.

Does it cover impact damage or water damage? Is the camera worth a great deal more than $130? Does it extend the warranty way beyond the usual 3 months? For most people it wouldn't make sense to pay that kind of money when you can buy a new camera, without a lot of bells and whistles to be sure, for that kind of money. Most people replace their digital camera in a few years any way, as new cameras come out with superior features and image quality.
