If they could not verify your SS#, then there may be an error on your report.
If you only have one active account, (and no others on your report) then the creditor may have made an error in your SS# when they reported the account.

Try going to https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp

If this still does not work, then you will have to notify the credit reporting agencies of the discrepancies in your SS# and provide proof of the proper number. Here is a link to do so

apply for a credit card somewhere -
if you get turned down -
ask which agency they used - - - -

write to that agency asking for a copy of your report
and they will send it free (once you are denied credit)

If you can't get it online from www.annualcreditreport.com, you will have to use each agency's procedures to request it by mail.
