Do yourself and everyone else a favor and pick up a history book so you will at least know the facts. Here's a link to the Treaty of Guadaloupe Hidalgo to give you a jump start.

How sad. If you read any decent history of the time and place, you will discover that isn't what happened at all. I am sure you will suggest the American History will be biased... may I recommend a good British History, or Argentinian History.
It is kind of important to keep this in perspective too. That happened in 1846-1848. Further, the United States paid Mexico some 15 million for the land that it got,and the land it got was land Mexico had not 'governed' from the time of the Revolution forward. California, for example, was considering going with China, Russia, or the United States. But if you do look, you will discover the land was not stolen and that the government of Mexico was, even then, corrupt and not interested in the land to the north.
A good history that seems balanced...
A good place to start if you wish.....

You are asking the wrong people Pedro, contact your nearest Mexican consulate and ask them about the sovereignity of your nation. And if you want "your" country back, Come and take it, stop sniveling about a buttwhipping that took place hundreds of years ago, theres a fresh one waiting for you in modern day America. All you have to do is "Come in out of the shadows" and start spouting your hatred of America and Americans. Your La Raza ranting and racially skewed "history is just laughable.

Did the Mexicans really start it?I didn't know that.I thought America & Spain were fighting for the land,or was it France?I must go back & look this up because it's a good question. However,America won,& I doubt they'll return any lands. All I know for sure is there are 2 classes of Mexicans,The very rich,& the the very poor. It's a sad state of affairs.Mexicans risk their lives for a better life in the U.S.A.Why can't this happen in their home country?

How did Mexico get that land to begin with? And did those previously there like that? I note that Texas broke off from Mexico before it ever joined our Union, and that American Natives are not illegally traveling SOUTH.

Is that you Mexicans tell each other how you lost the Southwestern part of our country to us?
How sweet!
Do you believe the aliens helped us take it from you?
Maybe we had an army of Big Foots!
If you are going to tell each other fairy tales, there should be fairies or some kind of mythical creatures in the story, right?

The land belonged to Mexico, that welcomed American immigrants. Until they broke Mexican Law by the introduction of Slaves to Texas, Which was against Mexico's anti -slavery laws and refuse to free or withdraw the Slaves from Mexico.
That is what started the Texas Rebellion.
Mexico, recognized the Neues river as the boundary of Texas.
The U.S. Stated the boundary was the Rio Grande, and sent troops on to Mexican soil and were repulsed by the Mexican Army. Which States American troops were attacked on American Soil. Another (WMD) lie.
America Lost 1,500 KIA in the Mexican War.
America lost 4,800 KIA and 2,800 capture and executed. During the Occupation of Mexico, where they lost the Guerrilla War,

Treaty of Guadalupe Hildalgo February 2,1848.
Signed and approve by both countries ending the war.
In March 1848 the U.S. unilaterally deleted Article 10 .that guaranteed the Property rights and Spanish land grants of the 80,000 Mexicans now living in the United States, This is where the Americans stole (Mexican American) land.

Pray tell me what happehed to article 10 of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, The American copy will say ( Stricken out by the United States Amendments) and has nothing to do with Mexico, It covered personal property Rights of the 80,000. Mexicans that were left in the United States. Whos lands were stolen by the U.S.. The origional Copy of the Treaty can be found in the Mexican copy of the Treaty. And it is not a dead issue once the population changes, it can be filed in U.S. courts .
Opie's (all)
