Most of the "undocumented citizens" in America are Mexican nationals. If you don't want families to be separated then you should encourage people to not come to the United States illegally.

No one wants to separate families except for the illegal immigrants who go to the United States knowing what will happen as a result. They go there disobeying the law, they work there disobeying the law, they acquire false documentation disobeying the law, on and on.
If an American citizen disobeys the law of the land as much and as often as these illegal immigrants do, they will go to prison which will separate them from their families also. What a surprise.
There is a process that allows citizens of other countries to immigrate legally to the U.S but Mexican nationals go there outside the law, live and work there under the radar, in such numbers that the system is likely to rupture from the overload to schools, hospitals, social programs, et c.
United States wants precious Pemex, and let a few million nationals across in the bargain, but American nationals actually end up paying the price. Now it's come to erecting a Mexican-American version of the Berlin Wall, so it's probably best that if they want to remain with family then they ought to observe the law.

They are undocumented citizens, of some country or another, just not this country!
So keeping the families of these criminals together is not the responsibility of this government any more than it is for the other criminals which are sent into US prisons.
The same is true for families of criminals sent to Mexican prisons or deported by Mexico I'm sure.

We'd be glad if they all left in a big family group. Illegals are the ones who choose to leave their children and relatives and then cry "separation!" The only solution these hypocrites will entertain is if their entire family be allowed to come to the U.S., no questions asked. Go home and be with your family in your real country. No one in America will object to that at all!

It is not correct that a child born in the United States is an American Citizen. In fact, they are not. And in fact, the child is a citizen of a country where the parents are citizens. It is that simple.
And Americans DO want those families reunited. It amazes me that the Mexican Nationals will simply go home and not take their children. I don't understand that, but I feel more and more, the issue is not citizenship, but money from welfare from this country.
We want all Mexican Nationals to be united in Mexico, or the home country of the individual who broke our laws, and invaded our lands. Surely you can understand that.

Illegal aliens are very expensive and no country in the world can afford to have them. They should not be invading my country anyway.

Undocumented WHAT??? The Illegals, just so you know, are NOT Undocumented CITIZENS. They are ILLEGALS.
For the original question...
We aren't trying to separate families, we're trying to get those ILLEGALS who are breaking our laws to get OUT of our country. There is no reason why, if you have children, you can't take them with you.
Pedro has been listening to Harry Reid. He seems to believe Harry Reid when he said "Undocumented Americans living in the shadows" Sad, very sad.....

Pedro, there is no such thing as an "undocumented citizen" in America, I believe proper the term you refer to is Criminal Trespassers. And If those people dont like us here in America, they are more than welcome to leave at their earliest opportunity.
Freedom, Freedom to become an American, or Freedom to leave the United States of America. Freedom baby!

There is no such thing as an undocumented citizen. They choose to leave their family and came illegally. They are free to go back to their family any time. No one is forcing them to stay.
