I tried the "eat vanilla ice cream" trick, but I think it is worst, because I felt so thirsty afterwards. This is irritating! I am teaching. And the parents thought I was being arrogant on purpose.

Make some chamomile tea, cover your head with a towel, and try to inhale as much steam as you can. Warm up the tea if necessary. Mix one egg yolk with one tablespoon of honey, and add hot milk, and drink wile its warm. This is the way my mom was treating us, and it works. Noni juice its a very good antioxidant, and will help with the healing. You will find that at any natural food store, or Costco. Vitamin C chewable, its very good too. You can have up to 5000mg per day, its safe.

As a teacher you will be using your voice a great deal and maybe it needs a rest. If you have a sore throat and other cold symptoms then Difflam spray is effective. But if you have lost your voice because of strain you really will just have to rest it.
